Michael C. Locker, J.D., LL.M., M.S.I.S.
Michael C. Locker was born and raised in Riverton, Wyoming. His mother’s side of the family has resided in Macon County, Illinois for generations, making Decatur a home away from home. Michael is a proud veteran of the United States Navy and served as one of the youngest NSF (Naval Security Force) members aboard the U.S.S. Truman in Norfolk, VA for 2 years. Michael then cross-rated and became a Hospital Corpsman, where his love for knowledge flourished and he received his Bachelor degree in Liberal Arts while still on active duty in the Navy. After 4 years serving as a corpsman he was honorably discharged and began his journey to becoming an attorney at the University of San Diego in California.
Michael earned a notable three concentrations while attending the University of San Diego. The concentrations were in business and corporate law, civil litigation and criminal litigation. Even as an intern Michael's work was highlighted on the USD Civil Clinic Blog. He received the Pro Bono Service Award, and the Law Faculty Outstanding Scholar in 2014-2017. He also earned Advanced Legal Writing Honors, received a Best Writing Award. Michael was admitted into practice in the state of Illinois in 2017. Finally, Michael enjoys building motorcycles and writing music.
Michael is currently working with Daniel Hassinger at the Hassinger Law Office in Decatur, Illinois.
